With Christmas and the holidays come many different feelings!!! For some people it is time to get anxious to purchase gifts and some get nervous or mix feelings by thinking their gift will not be good compare to the gifts of other people. For some this is the time to feel incredibly happy and can not wait to go shopping, while others have a fear of another holiday debt to pay!!! When you look at it, the true Christmas is about family and friends are getting together and having fun!!! It is about showing love and gift sharing, never comparing!!!

Christmas And The Holidays

Christmas and the holidays always have been about family and friends getting together. I Remember every year we would get together in our rusted loud car we had at the time!!! Sweet memories of how it would be cold and breezy because the car heater wouldn’t work or dad liked to drive the car with the window open!!! We would be looking forward to go to Ohio!!! Because, that is where my grandparents lived and she really knows how to celebrate the Christmas and the holidays!!!

It was a long ride. The entire ride would bring excitement in me for getting to my grandparents. The more north we went the more excited we get to see all the snow on the ground!!! And to see all the Christmas lights as we go through the streets and towns on our way to Ohio. Then when we would get into Cleveland area we would see the entire rows of streets decorated for Christmas and that is when we knew we are near our Grandparents home.

My grandma would have baked goods ready mouth watering, yummy!!! Pies and cookies that were totally out of this world. All the relatives of the family were coming and going all week it was amazing. So it was awesome. Just look and smell of the hot heat coming from the wood stove felt like the holidays!!!

I love that time a year and all the amazing memories that surround it!!! The first time I ever experienced many good and happy things were around the holidays!!! We were never affectedwith things just the love and spending time with the close family. These are the feelings that is the real spirit of Christmas!!!  Exchanging gifts and enjoying the delicious food!!! New dishes become Christmas table traditions!!
